Privacy policy

How LOCKAZ handles the personal information you give us, whether that is an enquiry on this website or an item you leave in a locker.

Last updated 17 September 2026.

Who we are

LOCKAZ is a smart locker network for everyday services, operated as a venture of COMPwize from 338/213a Princes Highway, Arncliffe NSW 2205. We are bound by the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). You can reach us on 1300 669 677 or at support@lockaz.com.au.

What we collect

Only what we need to answer you or to get your item repaired and returned.

  • When you send an enquiry. Your name, your business or site name, your email address, your mobile number, the kind of enquiry, and whatever you write in the message.
  • When you use a locker. Your mobile number, which is the whole account — there is no password and no app. Also the item category you choose, your own description of what needs doing, photographs of the item taken at collection and again on return, and the record of the quote you approved or declined.
  • Payment. LOCKAZ collects payment for the work and settles the provider's share. Card details are handled by the payment provider, not stored by us.
  • What we do not collect. This website sets no cookies, runs no analytics and does not track you between visits.

How we use it

To reply to your enquiry, to route your item to a provider qualified to do the work, to send you the quote and the collection notice by SMS, to take payment, and to keep a record of the job in case something goes wrong with it later. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it to advertise to you.

Who else sees it

A small number of services make LOCKAZ work, and each sees only what it needs:

  • The service provider doing your job. They see the category, the item, your description of the fault and the photographs. They never see your name, your number or your address, and you never see theirs. Every message between you passes through LOCKAZ.
  • Our SMS provider, to deliver quotes, ticket numbers and collection notices to your mobile.
  • Our website host and form service, which receive the contents of an enquiry in order to deliver it to us.
  • Google, when the Find a Locker map or the site's fonts load in your browser, which tells Google your IP address in the ordinary course of serving those files.
  • Anyone we are legally required to disclose to, such as a court or a regulator.

Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia. Where that happens we take reasonable steps to ensure it is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

How long we keep it

Enquiries are kept while we are dealing with them and for a reasonable period afterwards. Job records — including the condition photographs — are kept as long as we may need them to resolve a dispute or to meet our tax and record-keeping obligations, and are deleted when they are no longer needed for either.

Keeping it safe

Access to customer records is limited to the people who need it to run the service. Traffic to and from this website and the LOCKAZ platform is encrypted in transit. No system is perfect, and if a data breach ever occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner as the law requires.

Seeing or correcting your information

Email support@lockaz.com.au and ask. We will need enough detail to be confident it is you — usually the mobile number you used at the locker and a ticket number. We will correct anything that is wrong, and delete what we are not required to keep.

If you are not happy with how we handled it

Tell us first, at support@lockaz.com.au, and we will look into it and come back to you. If you are still not satisfied, you can take the complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update this page and the date at the top of it.
