Terms of use

The rules for using this website and for leaving an item in a LOCKAZ locker. Plain English, because you should be able to read them.

Last updated 17 September 2026.

1. Who these terms are between

LOCKAZ is operated as a venture of COMPwize from 338/213a Princes Highway, Arncliffe NSW 2205. In these terms, “we” and “LOCKAZ” mean us, and “you” means anyone using this website or a LOCKAZ locker. By depositing an item you accept these terms as they stand on that day.

2. Using this website

The information here describes the service in general terms. Locker locations, opening hours, available service categories and door availability change, and what you see on the site may be out of date by the time you act on it. Nothing on this website is a quote or an offer to do work at a particular price — a price only exists once a provider has quoted your specific item and you have approved it.

3. Your account is your mobile number

There is no password and no app. The mobile number you enter at the kiosk is how we identify you, how the quote reaches you and how you approve it. Two things follow from that: give us a number you actually control, and treat your ticket number the way you would a cloakroom ticket. Anyone holding a valid ticket number at the locker can collect the item it belongs to.

4. What you can and cannot leave in a locker

A locker is for items you want serviced by one of the trades on the network. You must not deposit:

  • Anything illegal to possess or transport, or anything you are not entitled to give us.
  • Cash, cards, jewellery, precious metals, passports or other documents of value.
  • Food, plants, liquids, anything perishable, and anything alive.
  • Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fuels, compressed gas, corrosives, or anything else hazardous.
  • Anything with a replacement value over $500 — see the limit in section 9 before you decide.

If something you deposit falls into any of these categories we may refuse to process it, remove it, return it to you at your cost, or hand it to the authorities where the law requires. You are responsible for anything left inside an item — a memory card in a camera, a key in a coat pocket — and we ask that you remove it first.

5. Quotes, approval and the work itself

The sequence is always the same, and nothing happens out of order:

  • A provider collects your item and inspects it.
  • They send you a quote by SMS. No work starts before you approve it.
  • If you decline, the item is returned to a locker and there is nothing to pay. Declining costs you nothing.
  • If you approve, the work proceeds at that price. If the provider finds something that changes the price, you get a new quote and the same choice again.
  • Turnaround is set by the provider and given on the quote. It is an estimate, not a guarantee.

6. Paying

LOCKAZ collects payment for the job, deducts the agreed commission and settles the provider's share. Your contract for the work is with LOCKAZ, so if something goes wrong you deal with us and not with a stranger. Payment is due before the item is released for collection.

7. Collecting your item

We will text you when your item is back in a locker and ready. Lockers are a shared resource, so they cannot be used as storage. If an item has not been collected 14 days after we tell you it is ready, we may remove it from the locker and hold it at our workshop, and a reasonable storage fee may apply from that point. If it is still uncollected 90 days after that notice, we may treat it as abandoned and dispose of it, applying any proceeds to what you owe. We will try to reach you on the mobile number you gave us before we do either.

8. If something is damaged or goes missing

Every item is photographed when it is collected and again when it is returned, and those photographs are held against your ticket. If you think something has been damaged or lost, tell us within 7 days of collection, at support@lockaz.com.au with your ticket number, and we will assess the claim against that record. Reporting promptly matters, because the photographs are the only reliable account of the item's condition.

9. What we are responsible for

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law, including that services will be provided with due care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits those rights.

Beyond those guarantees, and to the extent the law allows: our liability for loss of or damage to an item is limited to the lesser of its reasonable market value and $500, which is why we ask you not to deposit anything worth more than that. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as lost income or the cost of a replacement while you wait. We are not responsible for things outside our reasonable control, including power and network failures at a site, or a host closing or restricting access to their premises.

10. Using the cabinets properly

Don't damage or tamper with a cabinet, don't try to open a door that isn't yours, and don't use a locker to pass anything to anyone else. Cabinets sit on sites belonging to other businesses, and their rules about access and opening hours apply to you while you are there.

11. Providers and hosts

If you join the network as a service provider, or host a cabinet at your site, your relationship with us is governed by the separate written agreement you sign with us, not by these terms. Where the two differ, that agreement wins.

12. Privacy

How we handle your personal information is set out in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

13. Changes, and the law that applies

We may update these terms. The version published on this page when you deposit an item is the version that governs that job. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales have jurisdiction.

14. Talking to us

Call 1300 669 677 or email support@lockaz.com.au. If you are chasing a job, have your ticket number and the mobile number you used at the locker ready.
